Our Technology Statement

Seeing homeless pregnant mothers and couples makes me cry. I hate it, and I feel so helpless when I see it. I feel a lot for those without a home, but I am especially bothered by mothers, children, and couples.  I created a nonprofit to resolve a gap that I identified that could be beneficial to other organizations and them to obtain items that they have difficulty getting throughout the year while providing accountability and transparency to donors allowing them to select exactly where their money goes.  I am creating an online technical platform to help other organizations. This organization, like many other companies and organizations, was affected by the COVED-19 Pandemic. I placed on hold all of my development plans. The development of new technology is costly, and until we can raise funding to start, those plans will stay on hold, but we will not let that stop us. I am a seasoned IT professional with over 20 years of experience designing, planning systems and databases.

 

When Counseling with my previous clients, my first rule is to design their system around their process, not design their process around their system. When I applied that same advice to myself, something amazing happened! I found a way to execute my vision using low-cost, ready-made solutions at hand. While the solution used doesn't provide the full functionality needed, The COMMUNe's staff work tirelessly to help make The COMMUNe happen. There is a passion for making The COMMUNe successful in all of us. That passion extends to developing the technology needed to provide all of the functionality required to help organizations and nonprofits who need assistance. The kind of organizations without big endowments to help source everything they need for their clients or to operate. 

 

The COMMUNe wants to be an organization that provides a solution that fills in the gaps that make other nonprofits and social organizations capable of helping society.
